Everything is matte black - walls, fascia, ceiling beams - so the only bright things in the exhibition stall design at Times Property Expo Ahmedabad are the projects themselves. Edge-lit lightboxes carrying renders run along both walls at eye height. A full-height corner tower takes the backlit logo, an inset LED screen and the line ENVIRONMENT IS OUR ATTITUDE. A warm LED strip skirts the wood deck floor, and the seating inside is plain white.

The Challenge
A property expo hall is a row of bright, busy stalls, all selling the same square footage. Bakeri, an Ahmedabad builder trading since 1959, took a 36 sqm corner and asked for restraint rather than volume. The brief for the exhibition stall design at Times Property Expo Ahmedabad was to look like a gallery of projects, not a sales counter.
What We Designed

Why It Worked
Black absorbs the hall's glare, so from down the aisle the lightboxes looked like the only lit thing on that row. People walked towards the images before they read the name. Inside, with nothing on the walls but projects, conversations started with a building rather than a pitch, which is what the two-side-open stall was for.
