Mackwell Pumps: 24 sqm Exhibition Stall Design at Dahej Industrial Expo, Dahej 2024

Every second stand in the Dahej marquee sells rotating equipment, and most fill their walls with photographs of it. Mackwell Pumps had 24 sqm open on three sides and needed to be recognised from the far end of a long red aisle. With so little wall left to brand, the exhibition stall design at Dahej Industrial Expo Dahej had to work vertically.

Mackwell Pumps had 24 sqm open on three sides and needed to be recognised from the far end of a long red aisle. With so little wall left to brand, the exhibition stall design at Dahej Industrial Expo Dahej had to work vertically.

Two backlit totems do the long-range work, standing at the outer corners with the water-vortex imagery printed on translucent fabric so they read as light rather than as posters. The rest of the three-side open booth is kept almost bare, carrying only the tagline at large scale. Pumps sit on low white plinths right at the aisle edge, at a height where people put a hand on them, beside a counter with an orange band.

In a marquee full of similar stands, two lit vertical planes are easier to find than any amount of wall graphic, and visitors used them to navigate back. Keeping the walls empty meant the pumps themselves were the only detailed thing to look at. Plinths at knee height invited handling, which is where the conversations in this exhibition stall design at Dahej Industrial Expo Dahej actually began.
