Everything is matte black except the things meant to be seen. The product run is a line of white illuminated vitrines set into the rear wall, each lit internally so coils, racks and faceplates sit bright against the black, with closed white cabinets beneath for stock. Blue LED strips trace the structure's edges and the floor line. A screen plays the factory tour, and lounge chairs take the far corner of the exhibition stall design at FITAG Tech Expo Gandhinagar.

The Challenge
Cables, patch cords, faceplates and network racks are small, mostly black, and easy to lose against a dark wall. Voltaic Cable wanted a dark stall anyway, and had a second brand, Katvision, to carry alongside it. With 27 sqm and three open sides, the exhibition stall design at FITAG Tech Expo Gandhinagar had to make a black box work as a display case.

Why It Worked
In a hall of white and blue shell schemes, a black stall reads as a gap in the run, and the blue lines give that gap an outline. The vitrines then behave like shop windows, and people stopped at the glass to point. The factory film gave the team something to talk over, so this trade show booth could hold longer meetings.
