Exhibitor's Guide to Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi

Mehul — Director, Approach Media · 31 October 2026

Delhi's exhibition map has three poles — and Bharat Mandapam, the redeveloped Pragati Maidan complex in the city's centre, is its flagship. Government summits, national trade fairs and the country's biggest industry shows run here, which gives the venue a particular character for exhibitors: high prestige, high visibility, and rules enforced with government-event seriousness.

We've built here — our eight-stall delivery at iPHEX 2026 ran at this venue — and this guide collects what exhibitors should plan for.

Upcoming shows at Bharat Mandapam

Last checked: 25 October 2026 — always confirm dates on the official show site.

Show Dates Industry Booking window status (custom = 6–8 weeks)
Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2027 (3rd edition; dual venue with Yashobhoomi) 4–9 February 2027 Automotive & mobility Open — ideal from mid-November
Convergence India 2027 (with Smart City Expo) 23–25 March 2027 Telecom, IT & smart tech Open — plan from January

Two more regulars are expected but not yet officially dated: AAHAR (ITPO's food & hospitality fair, traditionally early March) and ACETECH Delhi (architecture and building materials, typically mid-December) — confirm both with their organizers before committing budgets. Recent editions we've seen first-hand include iPHEX 2026 (September) and India Health 2026 (August).

What's different about exhibiting here

Prestige raises the ambient standard

National flagships attract the country's biggest exhibitors, and stand quality across the halls runs high. A stall that would stand out at a regional venue reads as ordinary here — worth knowing when you size your budget against your ambitions. The stall cost logic doesn't change; where you aim within the range does.

Government-linked shows run formal processes

Many events here are organized or co-organized by government bodies and councils. In our experience that means structured exhibitor manuals, firm drawing-approval deadlines, and inspection-minded enforcement — plus the possibility of VIP and delegation walkthroughs, which reward a stall with one aisle-readable headline (our SEMICON guide covered that moment). The manual is the law everywhere; here it is also strictly policed. (How approvals work.)

Central Delhi logistics

Unlike Greater Noida's expo belt, Bharat Mandapam sits in the middle of the capital — convenient for visitors, tighter for trucks. Build windows, vehicle entry slots and material movement are schedule-driven; a stall that arrives finished and assembles predictably wins here. Ours are 100% mock-up tested in the workshop before dispatch for exactly this situation.

Security layers are real

High-profile venue, high-profile events: expect pass discipline, vehicle checks and timing buffers beyond what regional venues require. Build the buffer into your installation plan rather than discovering it at the gate.

Planning your stall

The standing rules apply: book six to eight weeks out for custom (ten to twelve for a double-decker — rules here), get a venue-specific fixed-price quote, and hand the exhibitor manual to your builder on day one. For Bharat Mobility — the biggest thing on this venue's 2027 calendar, running across two venues at once — start earlier than feels necessary; our guide to that show publishes soon.

## FAQ

What is Bharat Mandapam? The flagship convention and exhibition complex at Pragati Maidan, central New Delhi — host to India's largest trade fairs and government-linked events.

Which major shows run there next? Confirmed as of 25 October 2026: Bharat Mobility Global Expo (4–9 February 2027, shared with Yashobhoomi) and Convergence India (23–25 March 2027). AAHAR and ACETECH Delhi are expected but unconfirmed — check with organizers.

How early should I book a stall builder for a Bharat Mandapam show? Six to eight weeks before opening for custom; ten to twelve for a double-decker; earlier for flagship editions like Bharat Mobility.

Are the venue's stall rules stricter than elsewhere? Rules always come from each show's exhibitor manual, but enforcement here runs formal — government-linked organizers, inspections, security layers and scheduled logistics. Plan buffers.

Does Approach Media build at Bharat Mandapam? Yes — including multiple stalls at iPHEX 2026 (the case study covers our parallel-delivery process; the iPHEX edition ran at this venue).
