Anuga FoodTec India 2026: Stall Planning for Food Technology Exhibitors

Mehul — Director, Approach Media · 3 September 2026

Anuga FoodTec is one of the biggest names in global food technology — the parent fair runs in Cologne, Germany — and its Indian edition, Anuga FoodTec India, comes to Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai, 29 September–1 October 2026, organized by Koelnmesse and co-located with Anuga Select India.

If your business is processing, packaging or food production technology, this is your floor. And unlike the September shows we've covered recently, the timing works in your favour: at publish date you're about four weeks out — tight but workable for custom, ideal for deciding this week.

What a food-tech stall has to do

Hygiene is a design language

Food-industry buyers assess everything through a hygiene lens — including your stall. Bright, clean-lined, light-toned builds with flawless finishes signal the standard your equipment operates to. It's the same principle we tell pharma and semiconductor exhibitors: in compliance-driven industries, build quality reads as process quality.

Live demos need utilities planned first

The strongest stalls at food-technology shows run equipment live — and live demos need power provisioning, sometimes water and drainage, ventilation, and safe visitor clearance. These are venue-and-organizer services requested through the exhibitor manual, with deadlines. Decide your demo plan before stall design starts; retrofitting a working demo into a finished layout is the most expensive way to do it.

Two audiences, one stall

Co-location with Anuga Select India means food-product trade visitors share the venue with your technology audience. Your aisle-facing message should state your category in three seconds — "filling lines", "cold chain", "packaging automation" — so the right visitors turn in and the rest keep walking. Overflow traffic only helps if your stall sorts it.

The German-fair standard

Koelnmesse shows carry the German trade-fair operating culture: structured exhibitor manuals, drawing approvals, defined build windows. Get the manual to your builder the day it arrives — we handle submissions and deadlines under turnkey project management.

Your timeline from publish date

Four weeks out: a disciplined custom stall is achievable with a decision this week — brief, 48-hour concept and costing, scope freeze. The comfortable 6–8 week window has just closed, which mostly costs you material options and buffer, not possibility. Double-deck: not at this range.

NESCO context — build slots across Mumbai fabricators are at their scarcest in exactly these weeks (the venue runs dense through December; the full show list is in our NESCO exhibitor's guide).

Where we fit

Food and F&B-adjacent industries are among the 9+ we've served across 6000+ stalls since 2002. Every build is 100% mock-up tested in our 30,000 sq ft workshop before dispatch — which is exactly what a compressed NESCO build window demands — with fixed-price quotes and on-time delivery guaranteed in writing.

## FAQ

When and where is Anuga FoodTec India 2026? 29 September – 1 October 2026 at Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai. Organized by Koelnmesse, co-located with Anuga Select India.

Is this the same as Anuga FoodTec in Germany? Same brand family, different fair — the parent Anuga FoodTec runs in Cologne; this is the Indian edition in Mumbai.

Can I run a live equipment demo at my stall? That's the strongest move at a food-tech show — but utilities (power, water, drainage, ventilation) must be requested via the exhibitor manual with deadlines. Plan the demo before the stall design.

Is there still time to book a custom stall? Yes — about four weeks out, a disciplined custom build works if you decide this week. Complex structures and double-deckers need more runway.

What does a stall at NESCO cost? The India range applies: ₹7,000–₹25,000 per sq metre for custom design and fabrication depending on design, plus venue-specific logistics — details in our cost guide.
