Asia Coat + Ink Show 2026: Exhibiting in the Industry That Sells Colour

Mehul — Director, Approach Media · 5 November 2026

Most exhibitors treat stall lighting as atmosphere. If you make printing inks or coatings, lighting is product integrity: the wrong colour temperature makes your reds muddy and your metallics dead, in front of the exact buyers who judge colour for a living.

That's the particular challenge of the Asia Coat + Ink Show 2026 — organized by AIPIMA, the All India Printing Ink Manufacturers' Association — with its international conference on 16 December and the exhibition running 17–19 December at Hall II, Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai.

Stall logic for the colour industry

Specify light like a colour professional

Colour-critical display means paying attention to colour rendering and temperature in your lighting spec — and consistency across the stall, so a buyer comparing two swatches isn't comparing two light sources. Decide this at design stage with your builder; retrofitting good light is the expensive way. (It's also, rupee for rupee, the strongest upgrade on any stall — a point our cost guide makes for every industry; here it's non-negotiable.)

Samples are the show

Drawdowns, printed substrates, coated panels — flat, comparative, touchable. Design sample walls with raking light and neutral backgrounds, at inspection height, with space for a buyer to hold their own reference against yours.

The conference-first structure changes day one

With the conference on 16 December, a slice of the serious audience is in town a day before the halls open — and walking in on day one with sessions fresh in mind. Your stall's aisle message should connect to what the industry is discussing, and your team should be at full strength from the first morning, not warming up into day two.

A chemicals industry has paperwork

Displaying chemical products can carry declaration and safety requirements — the exhibitor manual governs, as ever (how approvals and declarations work). Declare early; December build windows at NESCO are compressed and the venue runs dense (the full picture is in our NESCO exhibitor's guide — this show closes the venue's packed 2026 season).

Timing from publish date

Six weeks out: the custom window is open and closing. Mumbai fabrication slots in December carry the year-end squeeze — the METEC cluster runs at the same venue two weeks earlier — so a decision this fortnight protects your choices.

## FAQ

When is Asia Coat + Ink Show 2026? Conference on 16 December; exhibition 17–19 December 2026, at Hall II, Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai. Organized by AIPIMA.

What's special about lighting an ink or coatings stall? Colour accuracy — consistent colour temperature and good rendering across the stall, so products are judged under light that tells the truth. Specify it at design stage.

How should samples be displayed? Flat and comparative: drawdown walls and coated panels at inspection height, neutral backgrounds, raking light, and room for buyers to compare against their own references.

How early should I book my stall builder? Six to eight weeks out — from this article's date, that means deciding within the fortnight; December at NESCO is the venue's busiest stretch.

What does a NESCO stall cost? The India range applies — ₹7,000–₹25,000 per sq metre custom, depending on design (full cost guide) — plus Mumbai delivery logistics; quotes should be venue-specific.
